The Bauernschänke in Niederdorf is a good old pub with a modern-inspired menu. For example, the Asian-spiced pork belly rolled with crispy sesame seeds and a Thai vinaigrette is one of the signature dishes. Also recommended is the yuzu and chilli spiced sot-l’y-laisse skewer and the raw scallop slices. By the way, it’s best to share everything so you have a chance to try as much as possible, because everything really is extraordinarily delicious and a change from the otherwise rather mainstream menus. The Bauernschänke is a cosy place, especially in winter, and in summer you can watch the hustle and bustle of Niederdorf on the benches in front of the pub.
