The Bodega 1900 only just opened in 2013, yet it already has a huge following. Seats are highly covetet and reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends.
It’s really no surprise because Bodega 1900 is a dream of a tapas bar. As is often the case, this venue shows us that it doesn’t always have to come down to overly ambitions innovations to impress, but rather that the quality of the ingredients and the celebration of small details are enough. No matter if it’s the tomato salad, the mussels, or the homemade pastes, everything here was made with lots of love and skill – and you can tell that by the taste. The chef of these delicacies is Albert Adrià, the brother of the even greater chef Ferran Adrià. He and his young team give you one added specialty with every tapa served, a gratuity that really stands out. One can tell that Albert and his team really enjoy eating and indulging. This enthusiasm is refelcted not only in the cuisine, but also in the exuberant atmosphere which touches every guest.
Tip: Arrive before 1pm in order to secure a seat at the more popular small tables or at the bar.
