“We cook all that we love to eat ourselves, inspired by what is available each season.” That sounds like a true Lykkelig formula! The cooks at Hej Papa are daughter, Lisa, and father, Heiner. Here you will find a Scandinavian atmosphere with large windows, white walls, framed photographs of icy landscapes, and wooden tables that remind you of Oslo’s coffee bars. Heiner focuses on preserving classics, and therefore his lunch menu includes Sauerbraten (marinated beef) and Königsberger Klopse (meatballs). Lisa, however, loves bulgur and chickpeas. Their cake display is rather tempting with home baked cinnamon buns and fruit tarts sourced from a Demeter farm. Browse through an interesting mixture of products: organic tomato paste, fruit juices in old-fashioned bottles, or marmalades from the neighbor’s garden.
