Only the old lettering above the shop window recalls the long-established cookie store J. G. Beune that used to stand here. In 2011 the Louis Maximilian concept store opened and presented itself with selected fashion, lifestyle and design objects for the modern man, including brands like RAF Simons, Matthew Williamson, Stutterheim Raincoats, sunglasses by Mykita, Unter underwear, scented candles and perfumes from Eau d’Italie and Laboratorio Olfattivo, traveller bags and necessaires, lifestyle magazines and coffee table books. A refreshing store on the ever-more commercial Haarlemmerdijk.
