The Louise lies hidden between mansions and residential houses, which is why almost only locals know about this cosy restaurant and its delicious home-style cooking. The cuisine includes the traditional Labskaus, Matjes (salted herring) and in spring, the Maischolle (spring plaice), and everything else a north German would know from his or her childhood. In summer, when their doors are kept open, the Louise is especially agreeable for a quiet lunch. In winter however, the green walls with their white wooden panels create a nice mixture of tradition and freshness – just the way you like it in Eppendorf.
