In Oaxen Slip, star chef Magnus Ek uses Nordic ingredients and spectacular interiors – old boats hang from the high ceiling, the chairs are absolute vintage treasures and even the plates are all different and yet fit together. And thanks to the location at Djurgården, a romantic harbour view is included. It’s easy to see that Magnus and his wife Agnes focus on sustainability, organic food and good style. They serve mainly Scandinavian dishes – fish, fish and fish. The turbot in particular is a poem. But it is also possible to order rabbits and saddle of venison for several people. Oaxen Slip has long been one of the city’s culinary pilgrimage destinations, as Magnus Ek is one of the stars of the Swedish gourmet scene.
