Villa TreVille is one of the noblest pearls in Positano. For over 40 years, opera director Franco Zeffirelli resided here. A few years ago, the villa was bought by an Italian entrepreneur and the place was transformed into an oasis of luxury. Here Italy shows itself sophisticated and glamorous. But not only that, you also sleep in beds steeped in history. After all, Zeffirelli always invited guests of distinction, such as Liz Taylor, Leonard Bernstein and Elton John. The new owners have left the former artists’ haven almost in its original state. One of the suites integrates the stage set from Zeffirelli’s “La Traviata”, another Syrian mementos from his filming of “Jesus of Nazareth”. And all this in front of a surreal Mediterranean panorama.
