In Italian gourmet guides, the Acher patisserie has already received a place of honour. It is one of the 13 best pastry shops in Italy and this will probably be confirmed by anyone in Bolzano who jostles for the small chocolate and cake boutique in the city centre and tastes the range of sweet temptations that are delivered fresh from Bruneck every day. The workshop of the 35-year-old master confectioner is located in Pustertal. There, as a boy in his grandfather’s bakery, he became interested in more and, after a long apprenticeship, finally found his way back to his roots. The love of detail, the joy of precious objects and noble ingredients can be seen in the cake, the patisserie’s own creations, the macaroons and chocolate pralines.
