A side trip to the Galata bridge is a must and a side trip to Akin Balik, one of the best fish restaurants of the city. Somewhat hidden, at the end of the fish market one sits here romantically directly at the water, under a pergola covered with vines. Despite the slightly hidden location and the numerous tables close to each other, the Akin Balik is always well visited by locals who appreciate not only the atmosphere but also the freshly caught fish. In addition to the fresh fish from the market and a delicious Meze selection, Ahtapot Salatası, the marinated octopus salad, is one of our absolute favourite dishes – a heavenly, light starter!
