The Assaona is the newcomer on the beachclub front: The former Nassau Beach Club, not far from the harbour town of Portixol, has a new owner and a new style and is now called Assaona. The design is typical Mediterranean, typical Mallorcan. Oversized basket lights meet sand tones, bright turquoise, concrete and wood. The colour scheme is perfectly matched to the playa – even the waiters’ outfit is sand-coloured. The open concept of the Assaona matches the summer feeling of Mallorca: all glass fronts can be pushed open, the warm wind blows through the rooms and on the terraces the basket lights swing in the breeze. The beautiful setting, however, is noticeable in the price-performance ratio. The prices of the food are a tick over the top for their quality, but for the atmosphere, you can probably look over it now and then.
