During a day of bathing in the Badhütte Rorschach, also known as “Badi” by the locals, you feel as if you have been transported back one hundred years. The historical wooden bathing hut stands on pillars in the lake and can only be reached from the shore via a bridge. Built in 1924, it initially served to promote personal hygiene, but soon became a social meeting place for the Rorschachers. Even today, lake boys and Seemaitli still seek conviviality when bathing on the wooden planks above the water in the only remaining building of its kind on the Swiss shore of Lake Constance. This gem is definitely one of the most beautiful baths in Switzerland.
