Everyone who is travelling in Piedmont must have been in Caffè Torino once, because it is “the” classic café at the central Piazza S. Carlo. Here, one should at least sip a coffee or an aperitif. The interior is old, pompous and wonderfully overloaded: the most beautiful Italian baroque with marble flooring and textile wallpapers, but unfortunately not completely modernised in dignity at many corners. Of course the barista are dressed in black vest, white shirt and bow tie. Thanks to the typical Turin arcades, you can enjoy your coffee outside in Torino even when it rains. It’s the place to be seen, the meeting point – that’s why you’ll find a lot of locals here.
