The Beaverbook Town House is discreetly and chicly located – at the northern end of Sloane Street, where the boundaries between Chelsea and Knightsbridge charmingly meet. The hotel is the glamorous urban sister of the Surrey country house of the same name. The Georgian townhouse feels like home, but with all the wonderful amenities of a hotel, making you want to move in immediately. The spirit and charm of Lord Beaverbrook is at the heart of the hotel. Where the hotel in Surrey was once his country residence, the townhouse is meant to reflect his former residence in Fulham, where he hosted his illustrious friends such as Sir Winston Churchill and Dame Elizabeth Taylor. Recreating the flair of the Golden Twenties, the 14 suites are rich in art, antiques and theatrical references; each suite is named after a famous London theatre and decorated with references to the playhouse’s past.
