Visitors to the city should not miss out on this picture-book café, nestled by Sandymount Green. Brownes Café attracts all, from postmen to professors, whether young or old, small children or the very mature. Thanks to this wide appeal the café possesses, understandably, a lively atmosphere. But this is not its only winning point: the great cappuccini are served in blue cups hand-made with love and good energy by a healer from Wicklow. From the breakfast menu we found the fluffy Brown Scones particularly nice, as well as the sandwiches and bagels, or you could try the complete Irish breakfast. Meanwhile a friendly service team zooms about the place. In the evening the coffee shop-style is transformed into a comfortable French Bistro, where diners can enjoy very good meals (bookings essential).
