This cafe is on high demand, with the two creators of the coffee factory certainly doing it justice. They roast the coffee so superbly that you feel as though they have roasted it just through looking at the beans, and willing them to turn out to perfection. This street cafe has a unique style: the kidney-shaped tables alone generate nostalgic associations: Capri Sun, Amalfi coast … the only thing really missing is the young Sophia Loren, sitting in Heilandt drinking a cup of coffee. It is hard to believe that the colorful, organically shaped eye-catching tables used to be standing in the police headquarters in Karlsruhe!
The two creators have done anything but make a place full of dreamy nostalgia with a penchant for a coffee kitsch ambience. On the contrary, the café is light and airy, simple and modern. The Large-scale roaster provides an energetic atmosphere.
An exceptional cafe in Cologne with an excellent coffee service, that would certainly be a success in Berlin or New York.
