Café Mesner is a traditional Schliersee business that has been run by the Guggenbichler family since 1925 and has been open without interruption since then. The business even survived the war years unscathed. Café Mesner is definitely one of the cosiest cafés in Upper Bavaria and the Mesner estate is one of the oldest in Schliersee. Today it is run by Florian Guggenbichler, who uses traditional family recipes in his bakery. And so the run on the legendary cream apple strudel begins every Friday and Saturday. Café Mesner is only a stone’s throw away from the train station and the lakeside. When the weather is nice, you sit romantically under old, gnarled chestnut trees and look out towards the shore of Schliersee.
