Caffé Sicilia

Admittedly, the Caffé Sicilia, the temple of the Sicilian dessert culture, seems relatively unimpressive at first sight, amidst the jewels of the Sicilian baroque of Noto. But what comes here from the bakery clearly puts all the other confectioneries of the island in the shade. Behind the miracle creations is the confectioner and alchemist Corrado Assenza, who already runs the patisserie in the fourth generation and exclusively uses ingredients for his ice cream creations and cakes that his island offers him: Almonds, vanilla, cocoa, capers, tomatoes, saffron, anchovies. His Cassata is the 7th heaven and artfully constructed with perfect candied fruits, the Cappuccino ghiacciato comes here with a cap of almond milk granita and the basil ice cream is served in a fluffy brioche. In short, this place is a must!
