Located on the Plaza de Weyler, Palma’s first luxury hotel is an imposing example of the Catalonian art deco. The Architect Lluis Domonèch i Montaner designed the hotel in 1903 in the Modernismo style, as Catalonian art deco is known. Today the hotel is a museum owned and operated by the Fundació La Caixa, the cultural attaché of a Spanish banking concern, and features a permanent collection of the works of Hermen Anglada Camrasa, special exhibitions and a café.
