The traditional restaurant Ca’n Costa Valldemossa has existed since 1975 and is a popular lunch destination, especially for Tramuntana travellers. The focus of this rustic restaurant is on the classics of Mallorcan cuisine: suckling pig, grilled rabbit, small fried squids and almond cake for dessert. Those who like suckling pig should definitely try it here, the crust is crispy to the point and the meat is tender and juicy inside. In summer you sit under the vines and in winter you sit in a former olive press with crackling oven in a cosy historical atmosphere. Ca’n Costa is not an insider tip, but nevertheless a good address for the traditional cuisine of the island. For a walk afterwards, you can climb up to the Santíssimia Trinitat opposite.
