If they end up here, there’s a consolation. The coastal place Cala Ratjada is a tourist magnet because of the wonderful bays and still spared from the worst developments of the island, but it is also not really contemplative here. But the excursion is worthwhile, as here there is the Restaurante Ca’n Maya, a fish restaurant that couldn’t be more authentic. It is located directly at the harbour and presents itself old-fashioned as from another time – an oasis amidst cheap souvenir shops. In this bright restaurant with honest cuisine, the locals stop by every now and then to have a beer or a glass of wine at the bar.Mother and daughter have been running the shop for many years. This is where you come to eat fish.We recommend the “parrillada de pescado” for 40 Euro, which is perfect to share in pairs.Close to the harbour and eating fish, what could be nicer during the holidays?
