The established gallery Carlier Gebauer, which focuses on contemporary art, now has a branch in Madrid in addition to its main location in Berlin. Founded in 1991 by Marie-Blanche Carlier and Ulrich Gebauer, the gallery currently represents over 30 international artists. The program is specialized in aesthetic and conceptual research in the fields of sculpture, installation, film, photography, painting and drawing. Instead of following a specific theoretical framework, Carlier Gebauer offers her artists a professional space for experimentation. This gives the program its own independent profile. The artist repertoire includes Thomas Schütte, Cecilia Edefalk, Mark Wallinger and Laure Prouvost, among others.
