Ciya

Musa, the proprietor of Ciya, is a man who takes all the enjoyment of simple, honest cuisine to the most beautiful sumptuous limits, opening his guests eyes to the hidden treasures of the delicious Anatolian cuisine. Consider the forty minutes drive to Kadiköy as a kind of pilgrimage to truth, the unpretentious ambience of the restaurant and their fair prices as modesty, and concentrate on the essentials – Musa’s cuisine. With no menu, Musa cooks up to 700 different dishes a year, depending on the season and the optimum ripeness of the products. A completely new and unique experience to me were the sweet marinated vegetables such as olives, aubergines, walnuts and tomatoes. Through a long process they are made into an unbelievable dessert, served with sesame mousse or goats cream. Delicious!
