A visit to Concettina ai Tre Santi in one of Naples’ oldest districts, is an absolute must-do. Ciro Oliva makes the best pizza in Naples, maybe even in the whole world. The millennial pizza maker is the son of Antonio Oliva and thus the heir to the fourth generation of the family. The story of Concettina ai Tre Santi began in 1951, when Ciro’s great-grandmother baked fried pizzas in her house for the entire district. Incidentally, the name of the pizzeria comes from the fact that next to the entrance is the votive shrine of three saints. Antonio and Ciro, father and son, are an unbeatable team and the division of tasks is also quite clear: Antonio is responsible for the “secret” preparation of the dough and Ciro is the master of ceremonies from making the pizza to welcoming the guests with his beaming smile.
