At Da Sergio, in a lively old town alley in Otranto, a whole kaleidoscope of marine treasures is served on request: from swordfish carpaccio to sardines marinated in lemon juice, red scampi, live mussels to deep-fried black mussels supposed to heal broken hearts. Those who sit down at one of the tables in front of the door are in the middle of the tourist hustle and bustle, but it never gets boring here. Even if the quality of the food is excellent and the restaurant is one of the institutions of the city, the service is occasionally diminished and if you order a whole fish, you should be sure to check out the final price, from time to time the Italians are just sly ears. Unfortunately they were renovated and again not for the better.
