The Damatti in Kleinbasel spoils you by every trick in the book – pure Italianità. In the unique corner restaurant with the beautiful round fountain in front of it, you could actually see yourself in an Italian piazza. Owner Ilario Galoppo is launching a novelty for Basel at Damatti – the tradition of the aperitivo rinforzato. That is, in addition to the small amuse-bouches, from 5 to 8 p.m. there are all kinds of antipasti specialties from Puglia and Abruzzo. So you can enjoy the Bombette Pugliesi or the Abruzzi Pallotte cacio e uova, to name just two of the specialties. Also in the morning it is worth to stop at Damatti, drink a real Italian espresso at the bar and start the day.
