Sandwiches dangle on strings in the window, small tables are filled with biscuits, cakes, croissants, quiches and other bio-pastries like the yummy lemon-poppy seed scones. In between all this young smart looking people balance their laptops on their knees and enjoy the delicacies whilst the scent of the bright roses in porcelain vases spreads around. Pavel built the bar and shelves himself from old wooden pallets and his wife Ivelina picked all the little flee market treasures that can be discovered everywhere around the shop, which she found at the nearby Noordermarkt flee market. They bake everything themselves in the open kitchen and also prepare various kinds of marmalades and lemon curd. If you’d like it a little more savoury you simply have to try the sandwich Stolwijker with tangy Dutch cheese and walnut pesto.
