Jordan is no stranger in LA. After a two-year break from the restaurant scene, he is back in Culver City with a breakfast and lunch spot, á la fine dining, with avocado toast, beef tartar and a passion for Scandinavian cuisine. The coffee comes from Coffee Manufactory in San Francisco and from Roseline in Portland. What’s special about Destroyer is that everything, from groceries to the interiors, comes from Kahn’s friends and acquaintances. A family affair, so to speak! The restaurant is located in the midst of Hayden Tracts, where everything is about industrial design. The offices of Nike, Alejandro Iñárritu, and Beats by Dre call this area home as well. Correspondingly, guests at Destroyer are equally as fancy. For this very reason, it is still an absolute locals’ insider tip.
