Mon dieu! French patisserie is experiencing a renaissance. What have we done for so long without eclairs, bûche, tarte, petits fours and merengue? In the middle of Prenzlauer Berg, master patisserie baker Anna Plagens bakes wonderful French creations that can be eaten on the spot or lovingly packed in little boxes at home. Anna trained with a French patisserie guru in Paris and her business partner Stephan was formerly a chef at the Adlon. No wonder it’s hard to resist the delicacies in the glass display case. Next to the yoga studios and alternative galleries, the white Café Du Bonheur with its pink awning and well-shortened service definitely stands out!
