The Estrela da Bica is a wonderfully detailed improvised restaurant in the middle of the many narrow streets of the old town near Bica de Buarte Belo. The history of the Estrela da Bicas’s is particularly beautiful, as behind the restaurant there are four students who have collected all kinds of recipes from their world travels and now run, cook and serve the restaurant. One of our favourite dishes is the simple but good tomato salad, tataki salmon and falafel. As sympathetic as the concept sounds, as familiar, cool and casual is the atmosphere and harmonious is the price-performance ratio. Accordingly, the tables are in great demand and are sold out within minutes of the doors opening.
