The Fidelis bakery is a traditional bakery through and through. Bread has been baked in Paradiesstraße in Wangen for 500 years. Much has changed during this time. But one thing has always remained the same: the good old craft. Whether crispy soul, fresh lye horns, yeast plait or nut horns – good quality takes time for all delicacies. Fidelisbäck does not use ready-made baking mixtures, flavour enhancers and chemical additives. The dough is allowed to rise until the aroma is just right, in keeping with the principle of “slow baking”. The ingredients are all from the region, of course – except for the quelling salt, which comes from Portugal, simply because it is the best.
