Getting down, switching off or escaping the German winter for a short time – anyone who needs to is in the right place at the Fontane Therme. There is probably no better place in the Berlin area to sweat out everyday life than the Seesauna. While your body remains at a brooding 80C, your gaze wanders through the windows to the mysteriously glittering Lake Neuruppin and on to the other shore, where the dark contours of the forest emerge. Those who can’t stand it any longer can jump directly from the jetty into the lake and wash away even the last annoying everyday thoughts with the icy water.
Not only the lake sauna offers a view of the lake, but also from the main building, in which there are more saunas, swimming pools, fitness rooms and brine baths, you can enjoy the natural spectacle.
The Hotel Resort Mark Brandenburg belongs to the Therme. Admittedly, it is very comfortable to slip from the spa directly into bed in your bathrobe, but even if the rooms are of international standard and comfortably furnished, there is a lack of charm.
One should avoid the hotel restaurant and rather try the alternatives in the place, as for example the wine house at the new market.
