From the Forsthaus Ilkahöhe restaurant in Tutzing you have a unique view of Lake Starnberg, over the hilly landscape of the foothills of the Alps to the Chiemgau Alps. It’s one of those restaurants where the people of Munich “drive out” with their beautiful cars for a walk in the sunshine on weekends, out to the countryside. And indeed, only the way here is pure idyll. In the Ilkahöhe itself you have the choice between a simple beer garden and a restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant isn’t exactly fancy, but that wouldn’t fit here either. The atmosphere is cosy and dignified, and the quality of the food is accordingly perfect. In our opinion, the Schnitzel empfehlen deserves the title “Best Schnitzel on Lake Starnberg”.
