The “Fundació Antoni Tàpies” is a museum and cultural centre in the district of Carrer d’Aragó. It is dedicated above all to the life and work of the painter Antoni Tàpies, who founded it in 1984 to promote young artists and their contemporary works. In addition to the complete collection of Tàpies’s work, the museum presents numerous temporary exhibitions and organises regular symposia and lectures that are in keeping with Tàpies’s work or relate to his life.
