Frutti di Mare da Nitto fulfils the dream of a simple fish shop with wooden tables and plastic tableware. Its displays speak for themselves: they are full to bursting with freshly caught fish and seafood. The goblets for his award-winning precious goods line up on the wall shelf. Nevertheless, Da Nitto is a place where vanity has no place at all. From early morning until late at night, the tiny shop is a hive of activity: regular customers come and go, Armando weighs mussels and fish and passes orders on to the kitchen at high frequency. If one wants to eat with him, one sits down at one of the six wooden tables that stand on the sidewalk directly in front of the shop and has a wonderful view of the small harbour and the fishing boats of Ognina. Choose a cool white wine to increase your anticipation of oysters, seafood salad, fried squid or the pasta alle Vongole or Ricci (sea urchins).
