Founded in 1971 with over 300 exhibitions, symposia and performances so far, the Krinzinger displays both Austrian and international visual artists: Abramovic, Dokoupil, Duchamp, Immendorff to mention just a few names, as well as the “Fluxus” and “Körpernah” movements. The gallery represents the established Austrian avant-garde from the sixties and seventies, the most important members of the “Neuen Malerei” (new painting) movement, and a fine group of young artists who have made themselves known at a number of leading international arts festivals.
