Galerie Wentrup was founded in 2004. A former stable in the Berlin Prenzlauer Berg was the first home. Jan Wentrup conceives his gallery as a reaction to Berlin’s young, diverse and international art scene of the 200s. Tina Wentrup joined the gallery in 2006 with her experience and expertise in contemporary theatre and dance from Paris and Berlin. Since then, the gallery has opened itself to more performative and non-object-related art practices. Since 2019 the gallery is located in the Charlottenburger Knesebeckstraße.
