It is rather unusual to find a cabin in the middle of a mountain pasture that has an entry in the Slow Food Guide, but this is true of Gampe Thaya. The owners, Daniela and Jakob Prantl, had the vision of opening a restaurant that offers mainly products from their own production: The cheese is made by themselves, the meat is taken from their own animals and in between the family picks 300 kg of cranberries. They are not interested in the magic of the “Halligalli” hut, but in a cuisine that offers good quality at fair prices in a rustic atmosphere. It is nice that such a thing still exists
