Setting foot on the stairs of this five storied palace, you feel like you have travelled back in time a hundred years. It is like walking into a treasure trove filled with precious paintings, antique furniture and magnificent collectors objects, from famous porcelain manufacturers, ceramic from China as well as carpets and wall papers – all of which has been painstakingly catalogued. All items were assembled by the Swedish Count and Countess Walter and Wilhelmina of Hallwyl, who are one of the countries major collectors of exclusive art, craft-work and unique everyday items.
