Heath Ceramics is an institution in San Francisco. Since 1947 the ceramist Edith Heath has been shaping her classic mid-century vessels in the Bay Area. Nearly 70 years later, Heath Ceramics still makes earthenware objects, stoneware that puts a smile on the lips of design junkies from all over the world. There’s a good chance you’ll find your favourite SF food served on a plate from Heath Ceramics. Ever since Alice Waters first used the modern, handmade tableware at Chez Panisse, chefs in the Bay Area have sworn by it. The muted colours and simple designs from the middle of the last century are still inspired by Edith Heath’s original from 1948. A perfect souvenir for your loved ones or yourself.
