Hemelhuijs Restaurant, also known as “Heaven’s House”, is quite unique in terms of its interior, but at the same time it makes itself a centre of attraction precisely because of this – there is a deer’s head decorated with broken crockery, a mosaic of toast bread and all kinds of modern art. The restaurant is redesigned every three months. No less spectacular are the culinary creations of Jacques Erasmus, which above all include many local ingredients, such as Sandvelt potatoes, delicious fresh juices and fresh pastries. A highlight, for example, is the saddle of lamb with coriander and plum sauce, and salmon with sesame, chocolate butter and daikon radish.
