This wonderful trail in Beachwood Canyon begins at the end of Deronda Drive just under the Hollywood sign. Don’t be put off by the closed gate with its foreboding “Trespassing Forbidden” sign. A bit to the left is the somewhat hidden entrance that will lead you to a landscape of gently rolling hills and a series of paths that offer grand panoramas of the Griffith Observatory and the Downtown skyline. Particularly during the week, you can spend hours alone in nature or take a ride on horseback through the Sunset Ranch (www.sunsetranchhollywood.com) located a bit downhill.
