Hotel Ansitz Heufler

In Olang, the Hotel Ansitz Heufler is situated in a quiet part of the village; it is an old house with thick walls, timber-panelled rooms and low doorways, run by Norbert Niederkofler. Much of the original character was deliberately preserved during the renovation, and this is truly beautiful and makes the place special. However, some elements have been added, so that the rooms now have a clean and serene feel. Old floors, exposed beams, interspersed with a few touches that bridge the gap to the present without altering the character. The rooms vary in layout, are simply furnished with quality materials, and offer views of the village or the garden. No uniform concept, rather individual spaces. Downstairs is the restaurant, which forms the heart of the place, defines its character and is also popular with visitors from further afield. On the plates are Schlutzkrapfen with spinach and butter, a lightly cooked Tafelspitz with root vegetables, and, depending on the season, game from the local area. Products from South Tyrol, true to tradition, yet light and unpretentious. In the evening, the room fills up slowly; many tables remain occupied for a long time, creating a quiet, intimate atmosphere. The hotel and restaurant blend seamlessly, more like a house that has grown over time and continues to be used, rather than a classic hotel establishment.
