Hotel Calimala is the perfect address for a classic city trip to Florence. The location couldn’t be better – 3 minutes to the Uffizi Gallery, 5 minutes to the Cathedral, 5 minutes to the Vecchio Bridge. But the hotel is also a pearl in other respects, because behind it is not just any building, but the 19th century Palazzo Degli Angeli. Alex Meitlis, who among other things also designed the famous Ottolenghi restaurants in London, also had his fingers in the pie here. He succeeded in retaining the old world charm while offering modern comfort.
