Hotel Empress Zoe, is a maze of the most unlikely rooms, airy apartments and terraces, scattered over innumerable levels in different buildings and spread around the ruins of a Byzantine hammam. Responsible for this charming collection of style fashions, antiques and friendly service, (just around the corner to the Hagia Sophia), is the American traveller Ann Devans. The cosy ethnic style, brings sophistication through its smart ideas such as the private hammam baths in several apartments, or with the grand windows flooding sunlight in to the rooms. Breakfast consists of home made jam, cake and various kinds of bread, and set in the heart of the house. Look for a good spot in their calming, green yard to relax and eat your treats.
