Hotel The Exchange – W Hotel

Slim like a super model The Exchange towers above the other historical buildings, and it is styled just as fashionable. Suzanne Oxenaar and Otto Nan wanted to create a place for the art scene, for fashion lovers and for designers, and they did this together with students of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. Every single one of the 61 rooms is different and all of them are an experience: furnished like Chinois-boudoir, cubistically colourful, a bed that functions as a sculpture, walls covered in paintings, or furniture solely dressed in linen. The peculiar and confident hotel-beauty lies on Boulevard Damrak, which leads directly to the Central Station and it is part of the “Red Carpet Project” which breathes new and exciting life into the quarter.
