It is worth leaving Antwerp’s shopping mile to check out Houben, a chic purveyor of high-end labels to a discriminating, fashion-industry clientele: for example, the new Céline and Thom Browne collections or Comme des Garçons accessories. Houben has been a fixture on the Antwerp fashion scene for decades. The shop is something of a pioneer; in the early seventies it picked up Vivienne Westwood and, a few years later, the Japanese designs of Yamamoto and Co.
