Shopping must also be fun, is the motto of Jumi. Techno is pushing through the shop door, and the shop windows impress with artistically arranged displays. A nice looking man waves through the window and guides me in. Already the smell of long-ripened, spicy mountain cheese and a touch of truffle makes me happy. I am invited to taste it. Ten different varieties and many exciting taste experiences later I have my personal favourites in my pocket. The production is located in Switzerland and also the salesmen look like real miners – very relaxed and pithy at the same time. It’s so nice that I don’t even want to leave. The only consolation, shortly before closing time: the weekly market in the Lange Gasse. Right here in front of their door, there is raclette, various organic goods and other specialities every Saturday. What luck! By the way, Jumi is also regularly present at the Borough Market in London and in Brooklyn with her own shop.
