What would a visit to Amsterdam be without not having at least once smelled at a Gouda. Of course there are many cheese shops, we felt very comfortable in the Kasshuis Tromp in the central branch at the Elandsgracht. One can certainly spend a lot of time here trying the different cheeses. We recommend the 12 year old goats Gouda and 12 year old Old Amsterdam.
But you don’t just get cheese here, the bakery department is also well stocked with great bread and sweet pastries. For the most impatient there is our own cheese on wonderful bread, freshly prepared. If you want to take the cheese home with you, you can have it shrink-wrapped.
