The shop itself, located on East Grand Street in a neighbourhood rarely visited by tourists, is unique in its simplicity. Nevertheless, it’s right here that you’ll find the best Bialys and Bagels in Manhattan. The interior consists of a small steel counter, a trolley full of Bialys and Bagels, a freezer and a few baking utensils. Coffee is also available in the morning. The fresh cream cheese however may be bought from the freezer to take home, but not spread on a bagel for you. For this reason, and given that bagels freeze particularly well, KB’s holy baked treats are better suited to a take-home care packet than an on-the-go breakfast.
