If you don’t know it’s there, you’ll walk past – and miss something. The LA Restaurant is hidden between the Rhine and the inner city in Kleinbasel and is definitely one of the most exciting restaurants in the city. Because behind the narrow façade, great cuisine awaits – creative, bold, but always accessible. The “Chef’s Choice” menu with four or six courses surprises with cleverly composed dishes using seasonal ingredients and exciting flavors. Sometimes scallops meet Granny Smith, sometimes poulard is served with truffle jus. The atmosphere? Casual, urban, with a view of the open kitchen and, of course, in summer you sit on the boulevard. Almost like in Paris! A place for all those who take enjoyment seriously, but never too stiffly.
